Timothy J Brown, M.D. MSCE, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hematology and Oncology. He specializes in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancers.
Originally from Florida, Dr. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in human nutrition, foods, and exercise from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in Blacksburg, Virginia. He earned his medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and completed internal medicine residency training at UT Southwestern, where he served as Chief Resident. He gained advanced training in hematology and oncology through a fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Fellow and also earned a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology.
